Baag-E-Misar 1934

Baag-E-Misar is a 1934 Indian Bollywood costume film released on 1934. The film is directed by J. B. H. Wadia.
On his birthday, KAMAR, the little king of Damascus defies the ultimatum of SARDIS, the king of Egypt and prepares to face him on the battle-field rather than pay a disgraceful annuity, But ere long he is kidnapped through the treachery of HADIN, the Egyptian Minister, who wounds ASLAM, Kamars faithful bodyguard who now swears to avenge this wrong. . Beatutiful Princess Semira promises her father to allure Mansur the lion-hearted Minister or Damascus by her feminine charms only to find that he is none other than her dream-lover. Torn between love and duty she puts Mansur wise to the danger at the very last moment. . In the gaol, Rezin, the hard-boiled jailor, is even moved by the innocence of Kamar and hesitates to put out his eyes as ordered by the king, who is enraged and himself wants to perpetrate the crime when Semira and Mansur come up through a tradoor. Kamar is saved but in so doing Mansur find himself entrapped. Sardis orders his execution on the stroke of twelve in the midnight as per the custom of the country but Semira and Kamar through a clever ruse succeed in cutting the ropes of the tower bell which does not ring Mansur is temporarily saved. . Aslam now comes across Ariana, the court dancer in the Temple of Isis and is struck by her charms. Ariana informs him of her resolution to marry the man who kill Hadin who has betrayed her in love. . On the festival day of Osisis Mansur is ordered to be sacrificed to the sungod, when taking advantage of the gaiety, Kamar rushes in with his men. Sardis is killed. Aslam follows Hadin who comes up to Ariana and begs of her to save his life but Aslam comes up and kills him in a square fight. . When the dark clouds of tragedy have rolled by, Kamar entrusts the regime of Misar to his faithful Minister mansur who-finds happiness with Semira.
