Gopi (played by Govinda) is a simpleton individual from Banaras. He gets wed to a foreign returned Madhu (played by Ramya) . He is the family and trustworthy. She is an evil and some happygolucky type. He cultivates the Indian values. She would not mind taking a swim in the village pond in a bikini. One day it was her dday party and she starts drinking and dancing and enjoying. Gopi feels ashamed about his beau being like that. He gets frustrated and slaps her and he noticed that he did the wrong thing but she moves away. She wants to live overseas. He wants to stay with his mom in his village. She walks out. Mom wants the daughterinlaw back. He decides to get the girl back but after showing her lesson. He goes to Singapore and other foreign locales to search for the runaway bride. They keep going off and on. He also succeeds in making her pregnant and preventing the doctor from miscarriage the child. She delivers a boy. In the time, he becomes rich and well known. He now walks away with the 15daysold kid and comes back to his village and threatens to wed again. The stage is set for his rewedding. She appears on the place. She wants the boy back. Dispute, She says she cannot live without the boy. He says if she cannot live without her 15daysold child then why did she want to separate his mom from her child. She realizes her fault. They wed for good.
