Barfi is a 2013 Indian Kannada romance, comedy film released on Aug 30, 2013. The film is directed by Shekar, produced by K.M.Shankar. It is a romantic love story between a Punjabi girl and a Mangalore based boy. The film has the distinction of being the first Kannada film to be shot in the Wagah Border and Amritsar's Golden Temple. While Diganth plays Mangalore boy, Bhama is seen in the role of Punjabi Kudi in the film. Suchendra Prasad, Pavithra Lokesh, Harish Raj, Dilip Raj, Samyukta Belawadi and others play prominent roles in the film. It is about Life of a boy, a boy of this generation, and his struggle to find his love. About his family, about his friends, and his love and her family. The movie has narrated in humourous way of the most common problem of any marriageable age of Indian boy, who has everything but a girl.
