Benaam Rishte is a 1992 Indian Bollywood social film released on Jan 01, 1992. The film is directed by Shyam Gupta, produced by Ajay Bagthria. Sharad (Mohan Bhandari) is a lecturer in a college, Kusum (Anooradha Patel) and Savita (Neeta Puri) are students in his class. Kusum is a simple girl where as Savita is rich and arrogant. Kusum and Sharad are attracted towards ech other and as Sharad proposes for marriage, Kusum agrees. Savita who tries to attract Sharad, is infuriated to know about his plans of marrying Kusum. She cries and tells Sharad that if he ignores her love and married some one else, she will kill herself. Sharad does not take her seriously and marries Kusum. On his wedding night he comes to knwo that Savita has died in an accident. He is aghast as he kenw that it in not an accident but a suicude as Savita had warned him. Thinking that he is responsible for Savitas death. Sharad with guilt on his mind, cannot consummate his marrige with Kusum. Few years pass by, as Kusum sometimes gets hysterical.
