Rameshwari comes from a very well to do family and is a lawer.She is cheated into marriage by the Chiranjit who is an antisocial and a drug trafficker too. He abuses his wife and makes life hell for her. However, the actor's friend who is also in the same business has sympathy for Rameshwari and considers her as his sister. He helps her get out of the claws of her husband and Chiranjit receive punishment for his deeds. The punishment transforms the actor into a new leaf and he wants to start life afresh with Rameshwari who in the time has become a judge. But then things go heywire when Chiranjit misunderstands his friend's and Rameshwari's relations's and goes on to murder him. He is sentenced to jail for 10 yrs. However, the actress assures him that she would wait for him for 10 years and then they wood start a new life.
