Chachi 420 is a 1997 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on Dec 19, 1997. The film is directed by Kamal Haasan, produced by Kamal Haasan , music composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Wealthy Janki falls in liking with poor Jaiprakash, much to the disapproval of her parents, and ends up getting wed, and living with her hubby. She subsequently gives birth to a baby girl. Differences arouse between the couple, and Janki gets separated from Jaiprakash and moves back in with her mom and dad. Jaiprakash wants to see his baby girl, but is secured by Durgaprasad who is Janki's daddy, so he assumes the guise of a lady, named him Laxmi, and starts working as a nanny for his baby girl. Complications arise when Durgaprasad falls in love to Laxmi and wants to wed ‘her'
