Chander Kalanka is a 1944 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on May 19, 1944. The film is directed by Pramathesh Barua, produced by Pramathesh Barua under banner named Indrapuri Studio Ltd., music composed by Subal Dasgupta.

The queen of Sonarpur was maternal aunt of Bangshagopal. She was also the aunt of Sujit. Sujit was a jamindar. He lived in Ballygunge aera and had a habit of drinking openly. According to Bangshagopal he was a third graded drunkard, when Sujit's aunt heard that Lily, daughter of famous jamindar of Burma, had came to Calcutta. She started to pluck her to modern society of the town. Bangshagopal's anger for Sujit doubled when he found that Sujit was introduced to Lily. Lily liked Sujit's don't care attitude. Lily went to Sujit's place one evening on an invitation from Sujit himself. Sujit thought that Lily was a different kind of woman. Lily expressed her likings about Sujit's house. Sujit offered her to stay there. Lily thought Sujit was insulting her. Sujit said the he want to marry her. Lily said if Sujit knew her complete identity he would not marry her. Sujit said he had enough of her identity - he also said he liked moon inspite of its black spots. Lily knew everybody loved only her money, no body had tried to go deep in her mind. But she thought Sujit was different, and that's why she liked him. She decided to hold Sujit's hand and stay together.
