A man, it is said, has two faces-one to show to the world, and the other to show to his beloved. . A woman- an Indian woman-has only one face -that of a mother. The first flush of womanhood, the first bridal blush, the first blossoming of love are but preparations for the achievement of her one predetermined function-motherhood. All her life, it is to this function that she devotes her entire being. It is for this that nature prepares her, and puts in her bosom the most essential requisite of her lifes purpose- the heart of a mother. It is for this reason perhaps that a woman shall always remain a more vibrant, a more unified and nobly convergent being than a man, with his more diversified life, can ever hope to be. . It is for this reason too that she joyfully confines herself to her husbands home, and starts, from the very day she enters it, to create within its four walls, a world of loving tenderness and efficient femininty, over which she alone presides till the end of her days. . But life has many ironies, and fulfillment is not one of its permanent attributes. Fate is the great arbiter, and often conspires to thwart the most cherished human desires. When this happens, and everything falls before the wind that can not read, the mother alone, with her inexhaustable reservoir of love and tenderness emerges triumphant and supreme. . Such are the heartwarming and tender elements of the story we present to you in this film. It is just as soft ,as tendet, as earthy as a woman life !
