Last week, Jagmohan Mundra gave us Apartment. This week, he comes up with Chase. Prolific, isn't he? But hey, what's the use of being so productive, if you can't maintain quality control! Chase is a thriller which goes low on the thrill quotient. So much so, it tends to lose you midway, majorly due to its thin storyline, its lacklustre lead act (both Udita and Anuj seem uninvolved in the supposed high drama around them) and its thin editing.Read full review2.0

One had zero expectations from 'CHASE' and this is why it is an added bonus of sorts if you see are offered even bare minimum entertainment. Though 'CHASE' is hardly the kind of film that would make you rush towards theaters and make beelines for it, you can still sit through those two hours if forced to.Read full review2.0

You are probably thinking who would spend money on this. Well, as I learnt from Wikipedia, Anuuj Saxena, the film’s producer and hero, is the MD of a rather large pharma company. So a few crores lost here or there is not going to make a difference. But poor thing, he can’t act and is incapable of looking anything but miserable. Playing Anuuj’s journalist girlfriend in the film, Tarina Patel’s cleavage gets more scope than her acting prowess. Samir Kochhar and Rajesh Khattar provide adequate support. Gulshan Grover despite getting limited scope leaves his mark. Chase is one of those utterly forgettable films that keep releasing at regular intervals in Bollywood and are the reason why the flop ratio in the industry is so high. So just don’t even bother to waste your efforts of going to the cinema hall for this one.Read full review1.0

A DHOOM clicks and you suddenly spot Hayabusas speeding away in every third Hindi movie. A RACE clicks and everyone wants to attempt a thriller, with twists-n-turns aplenty. CHASE is no DHOOM, nor is it RACE either, but there's a feeling of déjà vu nonetheless. CHASE begins with a high-octane chase and what follows are several twists-n-turns, before the jigsaw puzzle is solved. But the question is, does CHASE provide those adrenaline-pumping moments?Read full review1.0

Last week at the press show of Apartment, Jag Mundra washed his hands off Chase. "I am not responsible for that film", he told us. That being the encouraging words of the director, watching Chase is no ordinary feat. It requires oodles of patience and stamina to endure insanity and ear plugs to prevent the noise destroying your grey cells.Read full review1.0

The resident nurse wears tight uniforms which never reach her knees. Said nurse ( Goswami) suspects that the suspected terrorist is faking it. To that end, she dons skimpy lingerie and twirls around the injured man’s bed, clutching a sheet to her largely bare chest whenever she gets an attack of coyness. Says visiting hunky cop to gyrating nurse : yeh kaam nahi, kaamasutra lag raha thaa.Read full review
