Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Chhabi (1959)
In Burma, a honest person Bakko (chabi Biswas) lived with his only son Bathin. (Asish Kumar) Bakko had a rich friend. He lived with his daughter Masoi (Mala Sinha). After his friend's death Bakko took the all responsibility of Masoi and her property. Masoi and Bathin loved each other. Bathin was a good painter. Bathin went to Mandaloy and took admission in an Art school. At that moment, the queen of Mandaloy announced an art competition. Bathin participated in a competition but at the end of the competition, he came back home due to his fathers illness. Bakko was dead. Bathin won the art competition. The queen gifted him a ring. Masoi filled jealous. Masoi wanted to share her feelings with Bathin, but he did not listen to anything. He only concentrated in his painting. Bathin wanted to repay his father's loan. The queen convinced Bathin to paint the God's picture Bathin concentrated in his painting. He neglected Masoi. Masoi misunderstood Bathin. At that moment, Masoi met with a young guy Bathin (Bikash Roy) Bathin wanted to Marry Masoi. Pathin threatened Bathin, At last Bathin sold his property for money. The queen did not accept Bathin's picture. Masoi came to know everything, clear all misunderstandings between Bathin & Masoi. They lived happily.
