Bhramar's father's Anandomohan Biswas had married a Hindu girl in his youth and had settled outside his home state The sudden death of her mother made Bhramar very lonely and sent off to her uncle's place. Grown up Bhramar on return to her father was confronted by his step mother, Aimanirani Biswas and her step sister Krishna To Bhramar, life seemed desolate and pointless. In the midst of her weariness a guest Amal, a son of her father's friend, had come to spend a long vacation. Spontaneous gaiety and uninhibited friendship with Amal brought back her lost days of joys and happiness. They fell in love with each other, but slowly Amal realized that Bhramar was not well, she was ill. Amal sought to care for her with his passion and hope and made her father realize that she needed treatment. Just when Bhramar began to feel that life was meaningful, the family doctor announced Bhramar's illness was beyond any cure. Amal's vacation had then come to an end.
