Alienated from Sandra, his Caucasian journalist wife, Writer Vinay Shankaran comes back home to Kerala along with his diabetic son, Samuel. He re-bonds with Head Frederick Brown, the son of John, a previous Mayor, who had been supposedly slayed, and his place taken over by the husband, Durai, of his wheelchair-bound daughter, Maria. Through cruel resources, Durai endures to declare his switch over the area - counting the poor building of a dam. Vinay also rewires with Meera, a lady he had wanted to wed but who, due to zodiacal problems finished up approving to get married a Caucasian man, Mark. His sincere Hindu dad, an Ayurveda doctor and firm supporter in destiny (Karma) and the 9 Grahas, predicts of a huge tragedy in the creation on or around September 9, 2009 - a prediction that may well turn out to be factual when the dam looms to eruption - imperiling thousands of survives.
