Dara Singh is a 1964 Indian Bollywood action film released on Jan 01, 1964. The film is directed by Kedar Kapoor, produced by Gulshan Behl under banner named N. C. Films, music composed by Hansraj Behl.
The young prince was puppot in the hands of the Mahamantri and did not know that the people of the state were in a very unhappy and miserable condition and under a constant terror of the Mahamantri. The prince was unaware of the fact that the Mahamantri was the real murderer of his father-the former king. The loyal Wazir Himmat Singh who knew every secret fled from the palace andorganized a prty to overthrow the regine of Mahamantri. He planted his daughter Madhumati in the palace as the Court Dancer. She used to come her father to inform him to about every new move and activities of the Mahamantri. One day while she was going back, her lfie was saved by a peasant Darasingh. She falls in love with the man and when Mahamantri comes to know of this he arrests Darasingh by playing a trick and orders him to be thrown under the feet of a wild Elephant. Darasingh fought with the elephant and overpowered him. He fled from the place taking his mother along with him. Madhumati now reveals everything to the young prince and shows him the underground way of the palace. . Mahamantri infuriated over the escape of Darasingh order his men to burn his house. The prince saves Darasinghs sister LAAJO from the fire. Darasingh thanks him without knowing that he is the prince as he had come there in the disguise of a villager named Budhua. Laajo and Budhua fall in love and they started meeting each other. On the other side prince who by now had come to know about the treachery of Mahamantri refused to play puppot in his hands. One day Mahamantri sees the prince in the disguise of Budhua and taking him to be some other person who resembles the prince brings him to the palace. .
