Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Dear (2012)

Dear is a 2012 Indian Telugu romance film released on Mar 06, 2012. The film is directed by Kumaravelu, music composed by Vijay Anthony.

The story revolves around Kalyan and Nisha; two aspiring youngsters who dream of making it big in life. Nisha and Kalyan have one thing in common; to travel to the states and settle down with a lucrative job. The two of them meet accidentally at the Passport Office and their relationship starts off on the wrong note. After a series of events, their enmity turns into friendship, which later turns to love. Krishna decides to marry Nisha and take her to the states along with him but his father Pulla Rao (Sampath) has other ideas. He wants to marry of Kalyan Krishna to another girl and he decides to kidnap Nisha. What does Kalyan Krishna do next? Why does Nisha want to go to America so badly? And does Nisha really love Kalyan? That forms the story.
There is hardly any scope for story in the film. It's a typical love story; a boy, girl and a father who doesn't want them to unite. How many times have we seen such a story? Lack of novelty in the plot makes 'Dear' a tiresome experience. The director could've at least attempted to present the film in a different frame instead chose to present a typical, not-so-special love story that was boring.
Performances by Bharath and Reema were just average, which originally could've been better. Santhanam as lead comedian is just not worth talking about; he is painful throughout with his senseless puns, wit and the comedy track is irritating and it does not evoke any laughter.
Editing is very erratic and amateurish. Cinematography is below par and the primary reason for this is the dull lighting throughout the movie. Music is as bad as all other departments. Dialogues are hopeless and no effort has been made to spruce them up for Telugu audience and so is screenplay. Most importantly, direction was pathetic and aimless.
In one line; 'Dear' is a movie that can be safely avoided. It has nothing going for it

This is the story of a young pair, who wants to go to the US on different missions. While the boy being a software engineer plans to grab a job there and earn money, the girl has some other reason. The director has made a vain attempt to mould it to an interesting film. Bharat and Reema have played the lead roles in the film Dear, which is the dubbed version of Tamil movie Yuvan Yuvathi.
