Devta is a 1998 Indian Bollywood drama film released on Aug 07, 1998. The film is directed by Jagdish Sharma, produced by Ashok Saraswat under banner named Mayura Films Combine, music composed by Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen.
Devta is an alacrity flick, where Mithun da plays the main role. The film starts with a young man (played by Gemini Ganesan). He is working in the palace and in love with the princess (played by Anjali Devi). He undertakes the hazardous journey of going to the netherworld and taking the magic light from the hood of a snake in the custody of the queen (played by Vyjayanthimala). The queen also falls for this young man who pretends to be in love with her mainly to get the light. He succeeds in getting it and the queen then throws curses on him to become an ugly man. The princess marries the prince, things don't work as planned and they live in hut. Soon the princess delivers a boy.
