Dharma Dorai 1991

Dharma Dorai is a 1991 Indian Tamil costume drama, action film released on Jan 14, 1991. The film is directed by Rajasekar. Dharmadorai (Rajinikanth) as a loner, rescuing a young couple Balu and Ishwarya from a fight. Ishwarya is the daughter of Rajadorai (Saranraj) and has eloped with the blessings of her mother (Vaishnavi). Her father and her uncle Ramadorai (Nizhalgal Ravi) show up, only to beat a hasty retreat when they realize who Ishwarya is with. Dharmadorai's wife Parvathi (Gouthami) then tells the eloped couple their story that Dharmadorai had showered love and affection on his brothers and had given them money against the wishes of his father (Madhu). But they got involved in illegal activities and become rich by double-crossing their boss. Dharmadorai takes the blame when his brothers kill one of the villains. When he is in jail, his father dies of a heart attack and his son dies in a road accident. Upon release from jail, Dharmadorai finds his father and son dead, and his wife working as a housemaid. After hearing the entire story from his wife (where his brothers had cheated his father and driven his wife and son out of the house) he gets enraged and beats up his brothers mercilessly, stopping only when their wives plead him to do so.
