Dhoomketu is a 1949 Indian Bollywood action film released on 1949. The film is directed by Homi Wadia, music composed by A. Karim.
On the 15th August 1947 India attained independece but never in the history of India bad people had taken so much advantage of the poverty of the Indian people and fed themselves on black market. . A so called philanthropist Dharmadas who conducted a Sewa ashram for poor women also held a big influence in the other side of the society and was making money through black marketing in grain. . Inspector Dayal, Comet and Sergeant Sunder had all taken a vow to bring him to book. Shanti,the daughter of Inspector Dayal and Mohini fiance of Inspector Comet also joined hands with them. . Dharmdas in the first place murdered Inspector Dayal as soon as he learnt that Dayal was near to finding the truth. Dharmdas went on shutting the mouths of people as soon as they were near the truth of finding that Dharmdas is working up a double game. . But Inspector Comet was the only person who could smash the whole racket of Dharmdas and expose him. How he did it and how phulzadi and Tattu helped him find the truth must be seen on the screen.
