Dil Deke Dekho is a 1959 Indian Bollywood romance, musical, social film released on Jan 01, 1959. The film is directed by Nasir Hussain, music composed by Master Sonik.

Neeta is a heiress, the only daughter of U.K. based Industrialist, Jagat Narayan. She is of marriageable age, and is presently wooed by Kailash, Chandra, and Raja. She prefers Chandra over Kailash and Raja, but subsequently changes her mind and falls in love with Raja. Things take a dramatic turn when Jagat and Neeta find out that Raja is not who is claims he is. When Raja defends himself, and calls himself Roop, his very own mother denies this claim, and instead states that Chandra is Roop, her only son. Raja alias Roop must now make attempts to prove himself, and realizes that this is indeed an uphill task.


Jamuna, a wealthy heiress, was shocked by Harichands apparent suicide little realising it was cunning fake. The suicide note told of the deceaseds being unable to tolerate Jamunas marriage with Rana. Harichandas evil designs succeeded as Rana, convinced of Jamunas infidelity, walked out on her, taking with him their infant son Roop. . JAmuna adopted Harichands son, Kailash, as also neeta, whom she educated in Europe. With the passage of years, yamuna thought of Kailash as a likely match for Neeta, but Fate had other ideas. Neeta met Roop, now the dashing young leader of a popular band, and they fell madly in love with each other. . Harichand, yet greedy to grab Jamunas riches, planted his second son, Sohan in her household, leading her to believe that Sohan was her own Roop. Harichands gamble seemed certain to pay off when Jamuna decided that Neeta should immediately be wedded to Sohan. . But two young hearts so much in love can be more than a match for any evil plan. And when Roop and Neeta give their hearts to each other, the Silver Screen provides one of the gayest entertainers in a decade, leading to a stunning climax that must be seen to be really enjoyed.
