Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is a 1980 Indian Bollywood film released on 1980. In a small village lives Dharma, the milk vendor, whom God has given five daughters. Dharma accepts it as the will of the God and never grudges that he has no son. He loves the daughters so much tha no one could have loved the sons even. . As the saying goes that creepers and daughters grow very fast. Dharmas four elder daughters Channi, Kiran, Billo and Chhoti have grown up and it worries their mother Basanti. She asks Dharma to look for the suitable grooms for them. And Dharma gets the first pinch of humiliation of being a poor father of five daughters. The poverty, caste system, status and above all demand of dowry come in the way of marriage of his daughters. Taking advantage of his helplessness, people bring forward the proposals from the drunkards gamblers and handicapped. Dharma beocmes dejected and sad. . Sadder are the daughters, who weep the plight of their parents. They feel that they are the maln cause of their parents agony and grief. All the sisters take a vow that they wont get married and will stay whole of the life with the Parents. But, is the house of the parents the house of the daughters? . So nature plays its own part in the form of supic. One-by-one the elder four girls, Channi, Kiran, Billo and Chhoti go along the life partners of their choice to settle down in their new house. . One broke the barriers of Caste and creed, the other even went to the extent of putting the parents prestige at stake. She runs away with the lover. . When Dharma comes back after seeing of his most lovable daughter Billo (who feels that she is Dharmas son and who has taken a pledge that she will never leave her parents), he feels that his ever humming courtryard has become silent. His eyes and heart Cry-He affectionately takes his youngest little daughter into his arms and asks her whether she would also leave him and go! . The 5 year old Munni also like her four elder sisters, assures him that she wont leave her Mummy and Daddy-Right at that moment a neighbours young boy of Munnis are calls her saying "Lets play house-hours". . Munni gets down from her fathers arm and runs away with the boy. .
