Diner Par Din 1949

Diner Par Din is a 1949 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1949. The film is directed by Jyotirmoy Ray.

Ashok was a businessman with a flourishing business and he had brought up his cousins Dilip and Sudip as his own brothers. Dilip was married and his wife was very nice but Sudip was unmarried and was a professor. Ashok went mad after he returned from a business trip and saw his wife Ravina committed suicide. Dilip continously whips ? Ashok and said that it was due o the doctor's instructions, but in reality he had other intentions as he wanted to get hold of the property and other arrests ? . But due to legal reasons, he was unable to do so. He protested to be a nice man. Noone supported him of any thing and he started replacing the old servants of the honest? with his own people. A doctor Dr. Sen comes to see Ashok and suggested that some lady should come to his house and care for Ashok and act as his wife so that he recovered and got well. Dr. Sen sents a lady doctor who would go there and started looking after Ashok. He made the other family members agree to certain conditions and only then was she goingto work. Seema was a student of the college where Sudip wass a professor. There was a student called Raja who was a complete suffian ? and whom everybody feared but he feared nobody. He set his eyes on Seema and one day he tried to smooch her in the class is front of everyone, but Sudip came to her . The principal wanted to rusticate Raja, but Sudip asked the principal to give Raja another chance. Raja went and threatened Seema and she stopped going to college. On Sudip's introduction. she started going to college where Raja again tried to misbehave with her but Sudip again came to Seema. Raja decided to destroy Seema ? one day by sapne ? her, but he gets run? house as seema used to supply perfurmes, losmelis ?etc to his sister-in-law Rupa. Rupa asked Sudip to marry Seema and Sudeep agreed to mary Seema on one condition that there would be no marriage ceremony and he would seek the blessing of his elder brother Ashok. Geeta came to know the character of each member of the family especially Dilip from Panchanan, a loyal old servant of the family and also came to know that Dilip had hundred ? ,his sister-in-law when she had refused to hand over the cheque book to him.Rupa gave back all property related papers and the cheque book to Ashok. One day Ashok deliberately fhps? though the cheque book in front of Dilip so that it would excite him, when Dilip gets exuted ? , Ashok started tearing up the cheque book. Before Dilip could harm Ashok , Sudeep removed and started whippping Rehp ?until Ashok come and teseo? him. Rupa did not forget her husband, informed the police and had him arrested. Though Dilip demis ?everything has ? crime is admitted ?in a tape which is the biggest evidence ?. Geeta decided to go away and was prevented from doing so by everyone and she only decided to stay back when Ashok called her.
