Ratanlal, the Presdent of Thug Mahamandal has made a scheme to cheat the insurance company of Twenty Lacs of rupees. He has insured himself for that amount and made Mohini, his nice, the benificieree. He kills a street-singer who is his double and frames Banda, a pickpocket, for the killing. Everyone including Mohini thinks that real Ratanlal has been killed. When Meenaxi, the daughter of the murdered man, asks about her father, she is informed that her father has absconded with twenty thousand rupees from the hotel. It not only keeps her mum but she has to dance in the hotel to pay back the money. . When it is time to get the insurance amount, Mohini receives threats from the thugs, C.I.D. Officer Sagar keeps a close watch on her. The thugs tell Mohini that will kill Ratanlal is she does not pay over the insurance money to them. Mohini, finding her uncle alive and in the clutches of the Thugs agrees. Seeing the change in Mohinis behaviour, Sagar doubts her. On the other side Meenaxi comes to know that things have killed her father and she escapes. She wants to smash the thug ring with Sagars help. Banda also joins them. . When Mohini reaches Ratanlals place with the insurance money. She comes to know that Ratanlal is not her real uncle and he wants to kill her after getting the money.
