Dui Bandhu is a 1947 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on Oct 17, 1947. The film is directed by Amar Dutt, produced by Amar Dutt under banner named A. K. D. Productions, distributed by Amar Dutt, music composed by Gopen Mullick.

Kamal and Binay were two friends. One was a businessman, i.e, an insurance agent and the other was a zamindar-artist, i.e., he had hundred square yard of land and he was a comedy actor. They lived in the same mess but in the adjacent rooms. Kamal was introduced with singer Malati. Kamal started lending money while trying to get her love and attention. Though Malati's teacher's was a rich person, but he liked to accept the poor man's life. Malati's mother didn't like him. One day Kamal asked for some money from his friend Binoy. Binoy expressed his incapability. accidentally Binoy was also introduced with Malati. His condition also became like that of Kamal. Then Kamal and Binay came to know that they both loved Malati. So one day they both went to Malati's house to know Malati would accept whom? As both were waiting eagerly in the drawing room to hear from Malati, her singing teacher entered the room with his luggage. When asked what was the matter he replied that his uncle has ordered him to became a family man, because his uncle would like to retrieve and hand over the responsibility of the huge property to the singing teacher. Then Malati's mother started liking the singing teacher for the first time because she wouldn't allow slipping such a prospective husband for her daughter Malati from her hands. So after Malati's chapter, Kamal and Binoy still remained two friends.
