Dui Purush is a 1945 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on Aug 30, 1945. The film is directed by Subodh Mitra, produced by B. N. Sircar under banner named New Theatres (P) Ltd., music composed by Pankaj Kumar Mallick.

Nutu loved Kalyani and he loved his country. One day while he was delivering speech in a public meeting Natu was arrested. After releasing from jail he came to know that Kalyani was already married. Eight years passed. Nutu had already become a family man. But it was a unhappy family. There were two reasons. Primarily shortage of money. And secondarily his wife Bimala came to know about Nutu's past relationship with Kalyani. Nutu felt Bimala was suspicious. But when Kalyani, after becoming widow, came for shelter, then though Nutu had a hasitation, Bimala accepted her smilingly. Nutu had no friendly relation with village zamindar. The relation became move bitter when Nutu took the side of cultivator Mahabharat against the zamindar. The case went to court. Nutu won the case. After winning the case Nutu became famous. He got both fame and fortune. But he forget his ideology. The zamindar who was his enemy became his best friend. Apart from this Nutu also wanted his children to follow his new ideology. But this brought disaster in his family life. One morning Nutu found that his children and wife had left him. Nutu's consciousness came back that day. He decided to begin from the scratch again.
