This movie is a feel good package and a must watch for those born in the 80s and the 90s simply to relive the decade. For those who are not, go for the performances. It is rare that a Bollywood movie makes you all warm, fuzzy and gooey from the inside – the experience is a must for those who love cinema.

One of the best romantic comedies to come out of Bollywood, ‘Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha’ steadily grows on you and warms the cockles of your heart even before you realise it. By the end of it, you might just want to go and hug the people in your life who you otherwise take for granted.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha is not a very serious film. Sure, it addresses a social flaw and how the people that make the same society are coping with it. At the same time it isn’t too satirical or dark. It brings a smile because the characters have their quirks and keeps you interested because the characters are like you and me, only with different quirks. What else can one ask from a film that aims to do exactly that! And this once I mean that in a nice way.

‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ is a 111 minutes gem of a rom com. YRF brings the most distinguished, charming and loving love story in recent years. Push yourself to the nearest theater with your love and pull your love for your love and cinema.

DLKH is a heartwarming charmer suffused with that lived-in feeling which seemed to have vanished in the run to that glitzy shallowness where a dhoom or a bang-bang were seen as viewer-friendly explosions. Here is a big-hearted shout for a bygone era and arranged marriage where love happens later crammed with episodes and moments that add up to an invaluable and cherishable experience.

The only disappointing thing in Dum Laga Ke Haisha is its rushed ending. After Prem and Sandhya resolved their differences, we needed to see the blossoming of their relationship. The falling in love moment comes too abruptly and leaves one asking for more. However, it is easy to overlook such flaws when the film entertains so thoroughly. And this little gem doesn’t just entertain, it warms the cockles of your heart.Don’t miss it!

The strongest point of Dum Laga Ke Haisha is it’s story and true to life characters.

It provokes thought and discussion, but never at the cost of entertainment. Sharat Katariya, take a bow. This is one piece of inspired writing and filmmaking that needs to be seen to be believed.

Unsurprisingly, the studio’s last-gasp stamp—in the form of an against-all-odds race that somehow becomes relevant and holds the contrived key to the fortunes of our mismatched couple—is visible in the dying minutes of Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Inserted for cheap thrills, this still doesn’t take away from a charming end-credit setup that leaves us grinning all the way home. Highly recommended, and hopefully, a sign of faster times in Bollywood High.

The film is a must watch for the 90s lovers who continue to listen to Kumar Sanu’s hits from that era on Youtube. Even so, catch it for its simple story and very genuine performances as it comes as a break from loud Bollywood romantic projects that leave you with false ideas about love.

DLKH is very well written and well shot as well. It also has the right amount of humor to keep you entertained. Both Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar have performed extremely well. Music of the film could have been better and the film could have been slightly more pacy.Nevertheless what’s important is that Dum Laga Ke Haisha is different and it will make you smile.

If you belong to post-90s generation, you may still find Dum Laga Ke Haisha worth a dekko if warm and light-hearted fun is what you are looking for.

This is a particularly poorly promoted picture, so I am not sure how well it may pack theatres. Fat chance. But talking of technology, this is just the kind of cinema that surely gets a second wind, sometimes even many years later, on DVD, YouTube, or through downloads in the Internet. I don’t think you should wait that long.

Though the film is emotionally unsure, it manages to extract some lovely performances from its sturdy ensemble of supporting actors. Ayushmann Khurrana as Prem, eventually the only keeper of the film’s artifice — a fat heroine — delivers an exceptionally astute performance, reminding us once again of Vicky, the delightful donor.

When more-than-pleasantly-plump Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar) gets hitched to Prem (Ayushmann Khurrana), the latter cannot bring himself to look beyond his wife’s size. Her relentless attempts to win over his attention are in vain and the two end up on the brink of divorce when she overhears him passing objectionable remarks about her to friends. Can blubber hinder love?

Dum Laga Ke Haisha is a romantic drama about a mismatch couple on a journey to find love. Produced by the illustrious Yash Raj Films, it’s an endearing tale full of emotions, drama and comedy. So if you are looking for a light-hearted film this week, Dum Laga Ke Haisha is the film for you.

Director Katariya keeps things very simple, yet entertaining and relatable. If you’ve had first hand experience with a situation like the one in which the film’s lead couple find themselves, they’ll find enough to appreciate in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. For the rest, it’s a chance to revisit a lost decade and revive our interest in Yash Raj Films. It’s good to know that the production house that brings us over-the-top spectacles like the Dhoom films can make something small, hilarious and straight from the heart.

‘Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha’ steadily grows on you and warms the cockles of your heart even before you realise it. By the end of it, you might just want to go and hug the people in your life who you otherwise take for granted.

This film is based in the ’90s, it even has a cameo by Kumar Sanu. And that treatment for this story is perfectly novel. A lot of thought and effort has been put into making this film. You’ll appreciate the seamless intertwining of humour and drama. And acting performances that are phenomenal.
