Mandar is a Political Science teacher who often finds himself in some sort of dilemma. The whole film revolves around the dilemmas faced by Mandar to choose the right path. Mandar was married to Anjali 2 years before they were divorced. After the divorce, he saw Anjali one day and started questioning himself whether he had done the right thing in leaving Anjali. At times he believed that it was right since she had betrayed him. To find this answer he often tried to find Amit, who had introduced Anjali to Mandar. The story rolls back to 2 years from thence when Anjali and Amit are having a conversation. Anjali was grateful to him for his support after the death of her brother. Amit requests Mandar to tutor Anjali. They fall in love and one day Mandar proposes marriage to Anjali. After their marriage Anjali is always bothered with a secret that she wanted to tell Mandar. Finally one day she tells him that she had been pregnant before she met him but does not mention the name of the father. Mandar feels the agony of betrayal and separates himself from Anjali. Anjali starts living with his father and son, Mandar spends his time with Nandini. Mandar struggles with the truth behind Anjali's pregnancy and his adherence to communism. He runs away from Nandini for fear of commitment to marriage. Mandar visits Amit to find the answer to Anjali’s pregnancy. Amit tells him not to spoil his future with the bygone.
