On the whole, EK THA TIGER is a high-octane thriller that works big time. This one has style and substance, both, besides dazzling action, stunning international locales and stylish execution. Most importantly, it has Salman Khan, the trump card of this enterprise. There’s no denying that Salman’s charisma has resulted in a mind-blowing, astounding, never-seen-before start at the ticket window, but the film’s content will sustain it thereafter. The film has long legs to prolong its splendid run. This is, without doubt, Salman’s best. Sure shot Blockbuster!

There’s a long queue outside every single screen and multiplex. Everyone wants to watch Salman Khan’s latest action film Ek Tha Tiger. With all that hype and hoopla, the film has some major expectations to live up to. But if Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard have taught us something, it’s that expectations mean zilch. It’s Salman’s reputation that drives a film and its business. And it’s this reputation that remains intact with Ek Tha Tiger

Ek Tha Tiger, by far, is Salman Khan’s most entertaining and accomplished works in recent times. Hope he takes the correct cues from this film and stays away from mediocrity henceforth.

With a story that holds your interest only in bits and pieces, action which has far better precedents in quite a few Bollywood films itself (leave aside Hollywood) and performances which are decent, not exceptional, 'Ek Tha Tiger' leaves a lot to be desired. Really, one wonders, wasn't it obvious out there on paper itself before the film actually went on floors? The promos pretty much indicated what the story was all about

First, the good things: Ek Tha Tiger is the least annoying Salman Khan movie in ages. Coming after the ceaseless assaults on the senses that were Bodyguard and Ready, Salman’s performance in Ek Tha Tiger feels almost subtle. There are no bordering-on-obscene dance moves, no grotesque family members, and – believe it or not – only a single scene where he takes his shirt off. Salman plays a RAW agent, which in the Ek Tha Tiger universe

But this one belongs to the genre mastered by Jackie Chan and plastered with superhuman stunts by Salman Khan: action comedy mashed up with a spy thriller. If you thought Agent Vinod (read review) made a Ronald McDonald out of the genre, Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) takes a mousey tail and sticks it up his nose for Salman to swing from ear to ear.
