At that time Dronacharya was in charge of the arms lessons to be given to the Kauravas and the Pandavas. An arrangement was being made in process of their examination. Not listening to his parents, Ek Labya went to see that examination. Then incidentally Ek Labya passed such a difficult test which was passed only by Arjun. Dronacharya was astonised by the skills of Ek Labya. He wanted to know the identity of him. Ek Labya revealed that he was the son of a hunter. He wanted to be a disciple of Dronacharya. But Dronacharya refused to be a teacher of a hunter's son. Disappointed, Ek Labya returned home and started practicing in front of a clay idol of Dronacharya made by him. He was so devoted in his practice that he forgot his father, mother and Bipasha. No body knew where he was. One day Bipasha found him. Dronacharya came for a hunting with all his prizes. Arjun and Ek Labya incidentally came infront of Ek Labya's hut. There Dronacharya found one application of arms that he never revealed to any body. On asking, they came to know that the applier was Eklabya. Arjun thought that his master might give him a lesson strictly. Dronacharya took no time to guess what his favourite disciple was thinking. So he immediately played a trick and asked for an honorarium to be paid to the teacher. The honorarium was the fruit of Eklabya's worship. Sincerely Eklabya granted his wish. Dronacharya blessed Eklabya. There appeared Bipasha. She didn't know Dronacharya. She cursed Dronacharya. He could not avoid the curse of hunter's daughter. He accepted the curse.
