The movie starts with Sridhar Ranjan. He is a social activist and has gone missing from Majuli, Assam. Then after 7 years, when as per law he is about to be officially declared dead, there comes a twist in the story and his old journalist friend Abhijit Shandilya (played by Sanjay Suri) goes in search of Sridhar from Mumbai to Majuli.
