Ragini and Kamini were being brought up by their mother and father respectively because some major differences in the ideals of the parents resulted in their seperation. Ragini followed her mothers ideals and grew up in a simple woman as well as creative poetess whereas Kamini progressed on the path of rock-n-roll civilisation according to her fathers choice. Ragini got married to journalist Balraj and Kamini to dance director Natwar. . Kamini ruined her house and herself due to her ultra-modern way of living. Natwar was seperated from his father and lost his younger brother Raju. His wifes extravagnancy, hot temperament and untolerable mannerisms made him a frustrated man. . Rajnis was a happy home but her mother-in-law was not pleased with her. So her planning forced Ragini to leave her sweet home. Rajni devoted herself in social service and her media was Harijan Welfare. . Makhanlal and his wife Chameli played a great part in creating trouble and making the two families unhappy.
