Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Garmil (1990)


Garmil is a 1990 Indian Bengali comedy film released on 1990. The film is directed by Dilip Ray, produced by Joyshree Pyke , music composed by Kanu Bhattacharya.

Dipankar (Dilip Roy) and Binoykar (Subhendu Chatterjee) were best friends, not only that Binoykar grew up under the care of Dipnakar’s family after his father’s death. Binoykar became a doctor and married Niharika ((Sumitra Mukherjee). They got a baby boy first and after that they had a girl. On the other hand Dipankar married a Christchian girl Sima (Rajeswari Roychowdhury) and they also had a baby girl. When their daughter was born, Dipankar was in Japan. At that time Sima came to know that Dipankar’s family did not accept her as she was Christian and she left the house with her baby. Binoykar and Niharika gave their daughter to Swarnomoyee (Ruma Guhathakurata). Amita (Rupa Ganguly) was found by Satyakam doctor (Utpal Dutta) and they went to Daulatgang at Bihar and started to live at a home. Once Dipankar came to know the whole matter and Shobhon (Tapas Pal), son of Binoykar, came out to search for Sima and her daughter. He came to Daulatgang and met Shyama (Debashree Roy) who was Sima’s daughter. After some incidents he came to know that Shyama and Sima were Dipankar’s wife and daughter. They all together came back to Kolkata and started to live happily.
