A horror film ought to spook the daylights of the moviegoer. Sweaty palms, heart skipping a beat, occasional shivers... in short, the eeriness should give you those heebie-geebies or make you uneasy if you walk into a dark room in the middle of the night. Puja Jatinder Bedi, the first-time director of GHOST, opts for the most appropriate title [it conveys what the film is all about], zeroes on a plot that's tried and tested since Ramsay days

Do not mistake this for the remake of the Patick Swayze-Demi Moore starrer with the same name. This one is far removed from the brilliance of that 1990 flick. This GHOST is a nuisance. The directors needs to learn the ABC of scripting before venturing into a horror story. What he does know is to keep the lighting low and make scary background sounds. Apart from that he just scratches the surface. Whoever coined the saying, 'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing'

Ghost is the kind of film you should never watch alone. Not because it will spook you but for the only reason that mazaa toh sab ke saath aata hain! Fun is always multiplied when shared with friends and Ghost belongs to that genre of unintentionally funny films that enjoy cult status with connoisseurs of, what one may call as, accidental entertainment. As the name suggests, it’s a horror story. Only here, it’s not the ghost that provides the horror. That, the director leaves to the lead pair, who share as much chemistry as two corpses would. The shoddy editing and even shoddier sets add to the horror of the audiences as they realise what they are being subjected to. Yes, this is a film that will easily beat any Ramsay horror flick when it comes to giving the genre here a bad name. A revenge-seeking spirit

The action takes place in a hospital. Obviously, there are doctors, interns, nurses, forceps, scalpels, blood, gore. Ghost is so effective, it left this reviewer mentally scarred. Doctors (not the ones in the film, dufus!) say it’ll take a while for recovery. Since a review is inescapable, the reviewer managed to scribble a few spoilers for the greater good of humanity.
