Ghulam is a 1998 Indian Bollywood social, action film released on Jun 19, 1998. The film is directed by Vikram Bhatt, produced by Mukesh Bhatt , music composed by Jatin-Lalit.
Ghulam means a slave of someone. Sidharth (played by Aamir Khan) is a ham boxer who does not work, preferring to move about with friends. His older bro Jai (played by Rajit Kapoor) works with a criminal who rules the neighborhood, trying merchants and demanding protection money. As a child Sidharth idolized his dad, an exfreedom struggler, whom he saw committing suicide in slip after a visit from an old acquaintance. Sidharth meets a sweetheart named Alisha (played by Rani Mukerji), who rides with a motorcycle troop, and Hari who is a social worker. The movie tells the story of Sidharth's romance with Alisha and his reformation.
