Goonj is a 1989 Indian Bollywood drama, action, musical, crime, social film released on Jan 01, 1989. The film is directed by Jalal Agha, produced by Joy Augustine , music composed by Jagjit Singh.

The story walks around the situation that political activity grows up in the coastal city of Goa in India, when there is election. The concept is purely based on the story of political affair and the rivalry between two individuals named as MLA Kalekar (played by Mohan Kothivan). This political leader representing the needs of the local-speaking people. The other political leader is Dennis Pereira (played by Ravindra Mahajani). Pereira is for the local minority-speaking people, who are out to tell that who will handle the city with efficiency. Some college people, Sanjeev and even involving Peter loves their fellow friend Sangeeta, who is the daughter of the MLA Kelkar.But, after the killing of Peter, things are all twisted and there are many complications.
