Grihalakshmi is a 1945 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on Dec 14, 1945. The film is directed by Gunomoy Manna, produced by Bharat Lakshmi Pictures under banner named Sree Bharat Lakshmi Pictures, distributed by Bharat Lakshmi Pictures, music composed by Himanshu Dutt.

When Apurba, son of Roybahadur Ashu Chowdhury, was married to Sabitri, then she was only nine. After puberty when Sabitri came to father-in-law's house, then Apurba was traceless. Mohan used to teach Ashu Babu's daughter Reba. One day Mohan brought news that Apurba was staying with actress Dolly Roy. Apurba's fortune was almost drained fully after Dolly. So one night being drunk Apurba entered Sabitri's room like a thief and ordered her to help him in starling. Sabitri after a longtime seeing her husband for the first time was shocked. Ashu Babu came there at that first time. Drunk Apurba insulted his father very badly. And broke his relationship with Ashu Babu. Mohan promised to bring back Apurba. Sabitri wanted to join Mohan. Ashu gave Sabitri permission for that. Mohan took the job of servant In Dolly's house. Sabitri in disguise of a Bihari woman came there to sell milk. She took the name Bulu. One Day Dolly when came back early from the shooting saw that Apurba was talking with Bulu. Dolly insulted Bulu. Mohan revealed to Apurba the conspiracy of Dolly and Mr. Nag against him. Apurba recovered from the delusion of mind. Nag wanted his share of money from Dolly. She disagree to give that money. Nag named Dolly. Apurba was accused in the charge murdering Dolly. He was sentenced to death. Sabitri came to the court to take the charge of murder on her shoulder. But at last Mohan's shrewdness and intelligence helped of find the actual murderer and happiness returned again in the Ashu Babu 's family.
