Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Haat Baralei Bandhu (1960)
Jagannath Ghosh the owner of 'City Suppliers', Suresh Ghosh, the owner of 'Ki Chai Paben' agency to arrange rental houses for the tenants. Jagannath and Suresh were uncle and nephew. Pratap Sarkar came to Calcutta in search of a job, but his interest was to be recognized as a commercial artist. Jagannath had no children. He liked Suresh's sister Nilu and Suresh. Nilu was a college student. Jagannath wanted Nilu to get her married. Both Suresh and Nilu were against early marriage. So Suresh and Nilu shifted to their another uncle Trilochan's house. So relationship between Jagannath and his friend Trilochan's had become strained. Trilochan was also the same like Jagannath, but he dealt the houses arranged by Jagannath. Due to their strained relationship Trilochan had lost those houses and Jagannath had issued an evacuation notice to Trilochan as Jagannath was the owner of the house where Trilochan used to stay. So, Trilohan rented his own house to Pratap. Pratap was given the room of Nilu, as she was away from the town for few days. After her return Nilu become furious seeing an unknown man in her room. Pratap thought that Nilu might be a cracked lady. Trilochan and Suresh at last hid Nilu in their floor room. Pratap was a health freak person. In order to drive him away from their house, Suresh started pretending as a passion fun affected patient. As Pratap was also a kind hearted person, instead of leaving he started nursing Suresh. It was impossible for Nilu to hide all throughout the day. So one day she stated whole to Pratap. She also said Suresh was preventing just to drive him out but one day Suresh was actually fell sick. In the mean time Jagannath came one day and told to vacate the house immediately. As she was a doctor, Pratap offered her to visit him. One day Pratap's mother and sister came to visit him. Pratap told Nilu about his dream, to be established as a commercial artist. But as he couldn't do anything he had to take a job. Trilochan promised to Jagannath, that he would arrange for Nilu's marriage. But the problem was where the groom was? The only solution was Nilu and Pratap's marriage.
