Union leader Ram was the son of police inspector Jagdish. The Union leaders were agitated at the manager Ravis decision regarding bonus. When the mill owner Sita returned from abroad she fell in love with Ram, not knowing that he was an employee in her factory. Ravi wanted to marry Sita to grab her property. Sita married Ram on condition that she ruled the factory and he the house. The workers agitated for the bonus but at the instance of the Chamber of Commerce, Sita declared a lock out.
