'Hawai Dada' is a fantasy drama about the relationship between a grandfather and grand-daughter produced by Anupam and Satish Kaushik’s production house Karol Bagh Films in collaboration with UTV.
Havai Dada revolves around the affectionate relationship of a little girl and her grandfather (played by Anupam Kher). The grandfather lovingly called Havai Dada, has always had a dream of going on an airplane, a wish that his granddaughter Bela wants to fulfill. Their journey extends from flying paper airplanes to purchasing an actual airplane ticket, convincing the stern yet sweet grandmother (played by Tanuja) to part with her savings for the tickets and the excitement of converting a wooden chair into a make-believe airplane seat. The movie deals with the circumstances and situations Bela faces to fulfill Havai Dada's childhood wish which in turn becomes her dream. The movie takes you through an enjoyable yet emotional journey of the small joys of life seen through the eyes of Bela and Havai Dada.
