Himmatwala is a 1983 Indian Bollywood comedy, drama, action, family dra film released on Feb 25, 1983. The film is directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, produced by G. A. Sheshagiri Rao , music composed by Bappi Lahiri.
Master Dharam Murti sees a murder of a guy at the hands of Sher Singh Bandookwala. But Sher Singh with his power, terror and finance sets free. In avenge he places Dharam Murti in a very embarrassed position with a lady teacher named as Menaka. Dharam Murti being shamed on his deed vacates his village and moves away without his wife & children. His companion named as Savitri helps her boy named as Ravi (played by Jeetendra) become an engineer who then settles down the fight against Bandookwala and get his daddy’s position back in the village. Bandookwala has threatened all the villager people. His girl named as Rekha (played by Sridevi) follows his strategies and grows into an harassed woman who tries to threaten people. Ravi's sis named as Padma has to wed to the munimji’s son Shakti. Shakti made Padma pregnant with his child. After the wedding, Shakti and Bandookwala together start exploiting Padma. Rekha falls in liking with Ravi and decides to play same strategy against the Bandookwala by saying them that she is pregnant with Ravi's child. Ravi finds his daddy as a worker on a dam construction and working place. Ravi then thinks of taking daddy’s reputation back by making Bandookwala guilty before the panchayat but is left happily by Dharam Murti on one note that he should show affection to the lonely people and treat them well.
