Hoor-E-Arab is a 1955 Indian Bollywood costume drama, fantasy film released on Jan 01, 1955. The film is directed by P. N. Arora.
The Land of `Arabian Nights has ever brought up beauty, love, romance and adventure. It happenings became legends as they travelled far and wide in the world. "HOOR-E-ARAB" is just one happening or tale of this colourful land. . Shahnaz was a dancing girl, meant to please others fancies. But her mind was ever full of her own ambitions and dreams. The words of the gipsy soothsayer, "You are going to be a Queen one day" gave shape to her dreams. Prince Kamal, who feel to her charm and beauty, and solemnly declared his love for her, showed the way to achieve hwe whishes. To win her the prince Kamal had to be the King first. . Prince Kamal was willing to risk anything for her sake. So with the help of the scheming Wazir, he overthrew King Haider, his own brother, As luck would have it, the King, in order to escape th pursuing Mutineers, had to seek shelter in the house of Shahnaz. Her friend Bulbul knew his real identity. . Prince Kamal finding the Kingsring on the finger of a dead body presumed the King to be dead. So, he succeeded him on the throne as his rightful heir and successor. As he ascended the throne, he ordered the Wazir to bring Shahnaz, so that he may marry her and make her his Queen. But, the Wazir, with a very clever manoeuvre, sold her off to the Slave-traders. . Just as Shahnaz was about to be sold to some rich Amir, Bulbul and Haider bumped in and broke the news of absconding of their confederate In the custody of these Slave-traders, Shahanz was drawn towards Haider, and for the first time her heart was stirred with real love for this commoner. . But, when King Kamal came to take Shahnaz, ambition overpowered this love and without much hesitaiton she was ready to go with him. Along with her other companions, Haider and Bulbul were also compelled to follow to the tents of King Kamal. . The Wazir immediately recognised Haider, and was quick to find out about Haiders love for Shahnaz. It was the right situation for him to move his cards. He arrested HAider And sent him away.
