Imposter (Dhumketu) is a 1937 Indian Bengali drama film released on 1937. The film is directed by Satu Sen, music composed by Ranjit Roy.

Reba's husband Mrintunjauy Sarkar was rich alchoholic. Her husband's conduct was so irritating that one day Reba hit him with a glass and Mritunjay left home to join the war. Reba engaged Pyari Guin her maternal uncle to find out her husband. Guin was winning and wanted to appropriate Mrintunjay's property. Reba lived with her only son, Sachi. In the war Mirtunjay was in love in guns and drink forgetting everything he came to know a soldier Aurobindo Shil, both of them looked alike. Knowing that Mritunjay had a vast property and beautiful wife, Aurobindo planned to take possession of his property. Mrintunjay was wounded in the battle field. He left a diary with Aruobindo containing his personal profile telling him to deliver it to his wife. War being over Surobino went to Darjeeling preteding to be Mrintunjay. Reba was happy to have husband back. Aurobindo's ill motives prompted him to demand an account of his property. Pyari Guin suspected him as a imposter and drove him away. But with the help of the court Aurobindo obtained a decree on the property and Pyari bacame a beggar. Once Pyari got an information that a young man with a wooden leg had come to an inn in the village who looked like Mrintunjay. Pyari went to the military office and came to know of two soldiers having the same appearance. One came from Darjeeling and the other from Ghatal. One day Pyari told Reba everything that he knew about imposter Aurobindo. Reba discovered one nigh that her husband had a deep cut mark on his shoulder but Aurobindo was without it. One day Aurbindo proposed Reba to leave the house with all important documents. Reba was surprised what about Sachi? Let him stay behind Aurobindo told Reba. Why? Is he not your child? At this Aurobindo attempted to murder Reba and there was sudden gun shot outside the door. Mirntunjay came back home. Aurobindo was improsoned. Mritunjay and Reba lived together happily.
