Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Insaaf (1997)

Insaaf is a 1997 Indian Bollywood action film released on May 30, 1997. The film is directed by Dayal Nihalani, produced by Jimmy Nirula , music composed by Anand-Milind.

A crook named Shah, owing respect to the Janardhan gang, is murdered by Chimaanbhai (played by Paresh Rawal). Although Janardhan is in jail, he ensures that Chimaanbhai is made aware of his frustration and vengeance. Chimaanbhai carries a meeting with Janardhan and murders him. Some schoolchildren and their professor, Aarti Singh, who are at a picnic nearby sees this, but Chimaanbhai and his boys hunt them down and kill them all. The entire country is amazed at this killing, and the police are under pressure to find the killers at any cost.

Aarti's bro who is a police inspector Vikram Singh (played by Akshay Kumar), helps in finding out who the killer is and gets his sweetheart, Divya (played by Shilpa Shetty), to pose as Aarti to lure the murders into the open. This get results – albeit not the ones Vikram and Divya had expected. They are now on their way from Chimaanbhai's crook and from corrupt policemen, a member of political leader (who is engaged in this and will do anything within his power to ensure that both get murdered). Divya plans to get abduct, but Vikram gets trapped instead. When he tries to move out, Chimaanbhai tries to kill him. Chimaanbhai is then murdered by Divya from his backside.
