Jaane Anjane is a 1971 Indian Bollywood film released on 1971. Shobha, an unmarried mother, leaves her illegitimate son at the temple where he is found by Laxmi who takes him home as a gift from God. Her husband is a bootlegger and so, the boy, Ramu, grows up in anti-social atmosphere. Shobha, after deserting her son, is married to a lawyer and gives birth to another son, Hemant, who grows up to study Criminology to Schotland Yard. Returning to Indian, Hemant finds that his childhood friend Mala is now in love with Ramu who, though good at heart, is a loafer. When Mala realises Ramus antecedents she tries to before she can do that, fate intervenes. One day, while escaping from the police, Laxmi is accidently killed and Ramu decides to take revenge by killing Inspector Hemant. The two brothers are now bitter enemies and only Shobha can reconcile their differences since she is the central figure in both their lives. How she does that is the climax of the film.
