Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Jaban (1972)
The main characters are played by Shomit Bhonjo and Radha Saluja. Binu (Shomit Bhonjo) is the only son of his widow mother. He loves Lokkhi (Radha Saluja) who was brought up by her uncle and aunt. But a person named Jonardhan Mitra (Ajitesh Banerjee) had an eye on Lokkhi. So, he falsely implicated Binu in a theft case and handed him over to the police. Jonardhan then got Lokkhi in his clutches by paying her uncle. Lokkhi was continuously physically tortured by Jonardhan and finally she developed a bad sexual disease all over her body. After this she somehow escaped from Jonardhan’s clutches. She reached a prostitute area and became Biju Bai. When Binu came out from jail and tried to trace Lokkhi, he came to know that she was sold to Jonardhan by her uncle. Binu went to Jonardhan but Jonardhan refused to say anything about Lokkhi. Binu could not tolerate this and stabbed Jonardhan. Binu then joined a group of antisocials. One day Binu reached a prostitute area while trying to flee from the police. There he saw one of his associates, Laxman, who had fled with a huge sum of money in which Binu and two other gang members had a share. Binu asked Laxman to return the money. Laxman refused to give the money. Binu was infuriated and killed him and took the money. Suddenly, he saw Lokkhi there. Lokkhi told him all that had happened to her. Binu was very shocked and decided to accept Lokkhi as a victim of a group of bad people like Jonardhan. At last he surrendered himself to the police to get his love and family back.
