Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Jekhane Ashray (2009)
Swarno and Sundar, two young children in a village are close friends. Swarna lives with her father and elder sister. The local zamindar eyes Sarada’s elder sister and has her picked up one day by goons. When her father tries to protest, he is killed by the goons. Later on her elder sister commits suicide.Swarna goes off to the city to stay with a distant relative Sarada. The people of that house make her do some household chores though they don’t exactly treat her like a maidservant.Sarada’s real intention is to grab hold of Swarna’s father’s property.Swarna starts studying under Ajay, their neighbor’s son. Both Ajay and Swarna grow up and become close to each other. One day Swarna comes across Sundar who sells flowers for a living.She comes to know that he is very sick and asks her to go away. She starts nursing him back to health. Meanwhile Swarna and Ajay‘s marriage is fixed. Ajay comes to know about Sundar’s existence one day and the marriage is off. Ajay goes off to Delhi as he has got a job. Sundar also passes away leaving Swarna all alone.
