Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate is a 1998 Indian Bollywood comedy, family film released on Dec 04, 1998. The film is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee , music composed by Anand-Milind.

Abhyankar (played by Amrish Puri) is an orthodox head of his tribe; a retired police general, he has values which he wants his family to also defend. As a result of his morals, his daughter is unable to be forthright and is unable to meet the young man (played by Anil Kapoor) she likes, and fabricates a scheme whereby her dad would approve of her lover. What results is quite comical.
