Johar Mehmood In Goa is a 1965 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on 1965. The film is directed by I. S. Johar, produced by I. S. Johar under banner named Johar Films, music composed by I. S. Johar.
Few people are born with the spirit of independence in them, the urge to break off the yoke of foreign domination, to be in the eyes of the world, free as the skylark! To this rare category belonged two Goan lads, Ram and Rahim, both twins born into a Christian family, but seperated from infacy and brought up in the households of two well-to- doHindu and Muslim famlies. Right from their childhood days, they fostered and nursed the idea of one day setting Goa free form the Portuguese rule. Whether stydying in sehool or playing, their one thought was how to bring their rulers into ridicule by playing tricks on them, and all this very often at the cost of merciless flogging! . Thus they grew up into strapping young men to join the freedom struggle and many and daring were their acts in the service of the underground workers. Among these, Rahim finds one devoted and active belle, Simmi, a victim of Portuguese brutality. Her parents have been killed and her virgintity defiled by them. To Simmi Rahim gives his heart. . As for Ram, his exploits border on the impossible. He even whicks away the newly arrived Portuguese Governors daughter, Rita, to the neighbouring jungles where he hides her and by slow process, even succeeds in gaining her ear and sympathy for his cause. There now develops between Ram and Rita a deep bond of affection. . The freedom movemnet is now in top gear. Everything is being got ready on the Indian side for the final assault on the Portuguese pocket. But to facilitate the advance of the liberation forces, it is necessary that a strategic fort-cum-ammunition dump of the Portuguese should be put out of action.
