Kadhal Sadugudu is a 2003 Indian Tamil romance, costume drama film released on Apr 19, 2003. The film is directed by Durai, music composed by Kasthuri Raja.
Suresh (Vikram), an orphan, accompanies a friend home to a large family celebration of a festival. There he meets Kausalya (Priyanka Trivedi) and they fall in love. Throughout the early scenes in the movie, Suresh unintentionally falls into repeated conflicts with Chithambaram (Prakash Raj), a respected man of the village. Chithambaram's bad impression of Suresh becomes the main focus in the film, as it turns out Chithambaram is Kausalya's father. Relatives unsuccessfully attempt to pursade Chithambaram to agree to a wedding. When Suresh confronts Chithambaram about what would make him happy, his answer is for Suresh to die. Faced with the impossibility of their love, Suresh decides to return alone to Madras. In the train station Kaushalya tries to persuade Suresh to take her with him, but Suresh refuses saying "If I Marry you, it will be with your fathers' desire." Chithambaram arrives at the station to prevent his daughter from leaving and overhears the conversation. He finally accepts Suresh and allows the couple to be together.This film was huge flop and negative film in the vikram career.
