Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Kajol (1962)
Arun chowdhary a highly ambitious engineer is the son of an offie clerk Kesto Chowdhary. Arun has an affair with Kajol,daughter of his family friend, who also belongs to the middle class son abitious ? group. Arun's father negotiates his marriage with Kajol,but Arun refuses as he wants to go to a foreign country for further studies. So he leaves home, manages a scholarship and goes to Germany. Kajol,knowing his mind,with full support waits for him. She takes a job in her father's office as her father gets a stroke and becomes paralysed. Her office boss,Tapan,helps in her struggle and comes close to her family. Arun returns and joins in a big company as factory work manager. He starts new experiments with new machines,which satisfies his factory owner, a big scientist Sudharshan, but creates problem in between ? labours. Production in charge, Salil Mukharjee gets angry with his commanding nature and sometimes in human behaviour. Arun writes a letter to Kajol,but it goes to Tapan and he creates a misunderstanding between Arun and Kajol. Tapan, basically a characterless person, tries to capture Kajol.So he convinced Kajol's mother. Her mother requests Tapan to marry her daughter as she heard from Tapan that Arun is already married. Tapan agrees gladly. In the factory, production increases a lot,but labourers are not happy. Suddenly in an accident, a labour died. Arun manages compansation for his father but he returns the money. Other old labourers are also tired. He takes leave and comes to Calcutta. His boss, a big scientist but now a drunk old man, advices him to love someone. He comes to Kajol, begs pardon. Kajol forgives him. They come to Arun's sick father jointly ?.
