Kalo Chhaya 1948

Kalo Chhaya is a 1948 Indian Bengali suspense,thriller film released on 1948. The film is directed by Premendra Mitra.

A woman gave a proposal to detective Surajit Roy of stealing a specific will from village sukhchan ?of district Murshidabad. The woman was ready to pay a image sun ? for this. Surajit Roy refuted the proposal saying that his duty was to catch the unief ?was to sted ?. But after the woman left,an urgent prepaid telegram came from Rajiblochan Chowdhury, the zamindar of sukhchar. The message of that telegram was that zamindar's life was in danger, whether Surjit would like to stay at sukhchar for a couple of months. When Surajit reached sukhchar, the necessity of ghandip ? zamindars life was over. Before couple of twins? he was found killed by an assailant’s dagger. Surajit Roy was introduced with the resident of the house one by one. There was a doctor Dinanath batru, nurse Anima and a chinese cook. The manager of the house was introduced.Even before that, zamindar Rajiblochan chowdhury sent him to Surajit to bring him there.The doctor was a lonely man. It was very difficult to understand why he was staying at sukhchar as a personal doctor of Rajiblochan for such a wall ? payment. It was not difficult for Surajit to understand that he had concealed so many things from him. Dinanath was Rajiblochan's elder brother.Almost his entire body was paralysed. He was also wayward. Younger brother Pitambar was truceless ?. So their father had given the entire property to Rajiblochan. Some few weeks before, Dinanath came to Rajiblochan to appeal for a monthy allowance for him. Rajiblochan was suffering from a difficult disease. So nurse Anima was deputed a few months back. She was supposed to leave within a few days. This Anima went to Calcutta to meet Surajit with a proposal of stealing the will. Surajit did not reveal to anybody about Anima's proposal. The chinese cook could not speak in any language other than chinese. He was there since a long time back. Surajit locked the door of Rajiblochan’s room. He started waiting for the police to came. The police station was very far, so it would take a long time for the police to reach there. In the dead of the night, Surajit suddenly heard a foot step. Following the sound of foot steps, he entered Rajiblochan’s room. He found the locker was open and the will was stolen. The suspense grew farther when the stolen will was again stolen by a shadowy figure as the manager was hung after strans ? to death. Ultimately Surajit roy was able to catch the real culprit.
