Atmaram (Kader Khan) is an arrogant & lazy person. He is the head of his family comprising his wife Laxmi (Seema Deo), elder son Vijay (Raj Kiran) & his wife Sapna (Shoma Anand), younger son Ravi (Govinda) & grand son Ajay (Master Ganesh). His employer Usman Seth (Shakti Kapoor) is fed up with his unpunctuality. He shouts at him & in turn Atmaram resigns from his job. Now the complete load of running the home comes over to Vijay. Ajay has a heart disease & the operation requires a mighty sum of Rs.25000. Vijay works very hard day in a day out. It affects his health & he dies soon. Everyone blames Vijay's death on Atmaram & all these affect him too much. He wants to clear all his debts he has due to elder son's death. He searches for a fresh job, but doesn't get one. Ravi is in love with Radha (Juhi Chawla) daughter of Mr & Mrs Dhaniram (Yunus Parvez & Shobha Khote). He is confident that his father won't borrow money from him for Ajay's treatment. He helps Atmaram getting his previous job indirectly. But still the money is not enought for the operation. What will Atmaram do now? How can Ravi help? Will Ajay get cured ever?

With the help of of Radha, he indirectly helps his father Atmaram find a job. But the money is still not enough for the operation. What will Atmaram do now? How can Ravi help? Will Ajay ever get the right care?
